Stronghill Capital is eager to give Andrew Schmidt a “strong” welcome to the team as our newest Managing Director!
With 15 years of working in the real estate industry, Andrew has gained broad experience in originating commercial and investment loans and developing cross-functional relationships.
Specifically, his experience in finance includes working in underwriting and loan originations for small-balance commercial lenders. During his time at Apex Mortgage, Andrew was responsible for developing new lending programs and transitioned into managing the sales team. This experience broadened his career path and took him to Commonwealth Capital as the VP of Originations and Business Development.
Andrew graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and is a native of the Philadelphia area, where he and his wife, Leslie, raise their two children. He enjoys spending time outside, surfing ‘down the shore,’ skiing, rowing, biking, and traveling.
When asked what excites him the most about joining Stronghill Capital, Andrew said it is becoming a part of an established and experienced team. The team behind Stronghill has built a strong reputation in the marketplace, which many other lenders have lost over the last few years. The move to Stronghill has allowed him to reignite previous career relationships, and he’s excited to get to know the rest of the team.
